In this article, you will learn more about the process following a failed debit.
It can happen that a debit from your account fails and results in a returned direct debit. There can be various reasons for this.
More about the reasons for a returned direct debit can be found HERE.
If a returned direct debit occurs, you do not need to take any action initially. We will try again to collect the payment shortly thereafter.
In our message with the subject “Payment Collection Finion Capital GmbH for your fitness studio on DD.MM.YYYY, Reference Number” we inform you that we will repeat the payment collection on the selected date to avoid further costs.
Important: A second attempt to debit will only take place if, for example, the account was not sufficiently funded. If you have revoked the mandate, we will not debit again.
You yourself cannot take action after the first failed debit in our payment portal (customer portal) and initiate a payment or transfer, as your contributions are not yet considered outstanding claims.
Only when the second debit attempt also fails is your contribution considered outstanding.
After the second failed debit attempt, we will not try to debit again.
As soon as this happens, you must actively pay your outstanding claims yourself.
You can do this via our payment portal (customer portal). Click HERE to access the payment portal (customer portal).
Attention: You can change the date on which we repeat the payment collection yourself. Conveniently go to the payment portal (customer portal) to change the date for the repeated payment collection.
If there is a returned direct debit, returned direct debit fees will be charged. These are not reminder fees from us. Fees are incurred at your bank for the failed transaction.
So do not be surprised by a higher amount on the second debit attempt, as your contribution + returned direct debit fees will be collected then.
If the second debit attempt also fails, returned direct debit fees will be charged again. Please make sure to take action and pay your outstanding claims; otherwise, you will receive a reminder including reminder fees.
If your account was sufficiently funded on the debit day and a returned direct debit still occurred, please contact your bank and inquire about the reasons for the failed debit.
In case you have already paid your contribution at your studio, please follow the instructions in the article HERE.
